‘Kintsugi’ Whale Plate Med

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of giving a second life to broken ceramics. This plate uses traditional Japanese kintsugi techniques but is finished in a pearlescent metallic gold powder not the traditional 18 k gold powder. It is food safe and hand wash only. 
This plate features a silkscreen humpback whale under a gold Tlingit inspired tideline and silkscreened mountains. The back features a grouping of barnacles.
